Anna Mulcahy calls it a positive experience she'd recommend to anyone, not just those feeling anxious about birth, but anyone who wants to feel genuinely informed and prepared.
About Amifa
A steady, evidence-led voice for home birth
Amifa Kebe-Kamara, The Home Birth Consultant, works with expectant women privately and in groups, to plan safe and empowered home births. Since her home birth after two caesarean sections (HBA2C) she also gives keynote speeches, writes articles and speaks to pregnancy experts and home birthers on her podcast, The Home Birth Consultant Podcast.
Her approach is based on research, including her own dissertation on pregnancy during the Covid-19 pandemic, and her own personal transformation. Before having children Amifa believed that hospital was the only real and safe choice for birth. Then, once she decided to have a VBAC, she realised that home birth was not just safe, it was healing, empowering, and most of the time, surprisingly boring.
"Home birth isn't a reckless leap of faith. It's a plan based on evidence, which most families are never made aware of."
Keynote speaking
Talks that bring the evidence to life
From keynote talks to in-house training for employees, Amifa weaves your organisation's employee wellness goals around the story of her own home birth after two caesareans (HBA2C). Real data, a real story, and a clear message: home birth, properly supported, is safe and brings a measurable amount of satisfaction in a climate of unnecessary birth fear.
